Subscription Box Review: The Monthly Fandom Collection

I’m a big fan of subscription boxes, having tried and tested a few in my time: Birchbox, My Little Box, Glossybox just to name a few, but never have I tried a box like this one…

The Monthly Fandom Collection

The Monthly Fandom Collection is a themed monthly subscription box, which includes 3-5 carefully selected pieces that reflect the theme of the month. Themes that you can expect: Disney, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games and more. Of course we all know my favourite theme: Disney!

As you can imagine, when I was approached by a PR company to trial the new monthly subscription box, by being sent their first box, I was ever so excited (it literally screams my name!). I wanted to experience the box exactly how it should be experienced and I stayed away from social media and their website, so that I didn’t ruin the surprise as to what was in the box.

Of course, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, so if you’d rather not know, look away now. You’ve been warned!

The Surprise

So, my box arrived on Wednesday and I could not wait to get into it and see what was inside. I was obviously hoping for a Disney box, or a Harry Potter one – as we all know I love anything HP themed. But I am so not spoilt *blushes* and would have been completely fine had it been something else. BUT, I was in luck: IT WAS DISNEY!!!

In line with the upcoming film release, their first box is in fact Beauty and the Beast themed. How amazing is that?! The box was beautifully packaged and arrived within 2 working days. Everything was thought out; perfectly fitting for the Beauty and the Beast theme. I can’t even imagine how excited I’ll be when they release The Little Mermaid or Pocahontas boxes…

*ALSO* I filmed the opening and my reaction in my weekly vlog which will be live now for you all to see (follow link at the bottom of the post!).

Anyway, I’ll stop talking and show you what you really want to see…

What’s Inside?

Included in this months box was a charm bracelet, a pair of earrings, a bookmark and a necklace. All of which had subtle yet stand out references to Beauty and the Beast. My Chip mug is not included in the box by the way.

My absolute favourite is the charm bracelet. It’s so pretty and delicate. It’s very feminine, just like Belle. I can not wait to wear this (I think it’ll be a great accessory when visiting Disney parks!).

The earrings are so sweet. They are small red roses, which I think will be so easy to wear, adding a pop of colour to any look.

As for the bookmark, oh it’s adorable! I was slightly confused what it was initially, I won’t lie! I especially like the ‘I Want Adventure’ slogan.

Of course, the box wouldn’t be complete without a quoted necklace. ‘Until The Last Petal Falls’ is beautifully written on the necklace, a gorgeous reference to the Disney classic.

Want To Sign Up?

They are kindly offering the first box for just £10 (plus postage), you just have to use the code NEWBOX10 at checkout! But usually the boxes would cost only £12 per month plus a £2.90 postage fee. They also do an offer where you can pay either 3 or 6 months upfront and receive the boxes at a cheaper price. I will link the website below for more information and how to sign up!

Thank you so much to TMFC for the wonderful Beauty and the Beast Fandom box, I really loved it and I’m super excited to use everything. With the release of Beauty and the Beast coming March 17th, I definitely know what I’ll be wearing at our cinema date (Tom and I already have our tickets!).

What was your favourite piece inside the box?

Very informative! I used to be subscribed to My Little Box but I eventually stopped because I felt the content was a bit too repetitive. This looks very cool though!

This looks such a fun subscription box, love the charm bracelet it is so pretty. I love the Disney one and maybe would like the Harry Potter but not too sure about getting a subscription box of The Lord of the Rings & Hunger Games as they weren’t my thing. The only subscription box that I buy now is a Cat Hampurr where my cats get treats and toys every month, saddo that I am 😀
