On Saturday evening Tom, myself and lots of friends and family went along to an Ice Rink to celebrate our niece Elsie’s 1st birthday. It was at a local garden centre called Ruxley Manor Garden Centre which has lots of amazing Christmas decorations there too but we didn’t have enough time to go in and look (and buy!), so we’ll definitely be revisiting soon!
I wore my brand new Zara Coat (which I got for my birthday), black jeans from Zara, bobble hat from Topshop, handbag from Michael Kors and my cream jumper dress (which you can’t see unfortunately!) from Topshop too. All the photos have been taken on my brand new Canon Powershot G7X camera which I got for my birthday also. I’m still using it on ‘AUTO’ whilst I get used to it, but so far, I’m pretty happy with the quality of the pictures and how easy it is to use.
I have not been to an Ice Rink in quite some years now, and I completely forgot how much I love to ice-skate. I wish I didn’t have a bag on me really as I would have felt slightly more brave to go a little faster, or maybe even try a few turns. But with a handbag full of all my beloved belongings, I decided to play it safe – maybe next time!
It was really cold, so we all came suited and booted with hats, gloves and scarfs! I felt as though I was in a scene from Frozen, especially when “For the first time in forever” came on!! It made me want to come home and watch Frozen, but I’ve lost my copy!! It was a pretty magical evening, and a very memorable first birthday party for Elsie – she was literally mesmerised by all the colours, lights, music and people. She loved it!
How adorable does the birthday girl look?
Where do you go for festive activities in December as a family?
